I never feel good about the nature photos I take because it always feels to complicated - all the textures and lines, different colors and patterns. This photo is good because there is a strong center to the picture. It brings it all together. I also like the bit of mistiness on the ground.

I take lots of nature photos, but they all seem like tourist shots because what the hell is it supposed to be showing that makes it interesting? Not easy to make a nature photo like that. I actually have a similar version of this made with the timer that has me leaning against the tree. Tourist in the woods.
