Some people chose to hike up the dune, but why climb when you can race your quad up and over it? Meanwhile, the powerlines slice up the sky.
Wow! Beautiful. My first thought was that there was too little contrast between the sky and the sand - but the more that I look at it, the more I like it that way. It lends a bit of an eery feel to have the background be so washed out and makes the focus points the quad tracks. I'm not sure how much you played around with the balance - the top half is complicated because the powerlines have to contrast against both the sky and the clouds, but the sky also needs to contrast with the clouds. If that makes any sense. Anyway, what I'm wondering is if a slightly darker sky makes it pop a bit more
Anyway, I really like this - I think more than the other shot with the tower in full view. Cool.
Thanks. I agree I could work on the sky some more and crank up its contrast. The original is so truly crappy in comparison to this that I'm rather happy with its current form. As irrelevant as that is.
